Diabetes can be linked as a cause of Alzheimer’s. This is ready to be tested in Alzheimer’s patients. They are given the diabetes drug Avandia to reduce brain decay 511 Alzheimer’s patients have been involved in it’s first round of research. It found the indication that Avandia may help even in people who are lacking the gene that stimulates more aggressive Alzheimer’s. Glaxo’s Allen Roses, a highly regarded Alzheimer’s researcher, given a warning not to use Avandia for Alzheimer’s now. Still it is in the first stage of experimentation.
