Heart risks strike diabetics 15 years before

If a normal person develops cardiovascular disease at the age of fifty-five, The diabetic person are at the risk to develop the disease at the age of forty. The diabetics are at the risk of cardiovascular disease fifteen years before than general people. Gillian Booth of the Institute of Clinical Evaluation Sciences says further that this is not necessary that all diabetics are at this kind of risk. Diabetic men generally go to high-risk category when they reach about 41 years of age. On the on the other hand, diabetic women go to the high-risk group on 48. However, the general people go to the group 15 years later. The medical journal ‘Lancet’ published the report. The researchers also revealed that young diabetics have 12-40 times higher rate of coronary heart disease than young adults without diabetes.
