Metformin: The major cause of B12 deficiency in diabetics!

Drug Metformin, commonly used to treat diabetics may be responsible for the deficiency of vitamin B12, a new study has wrapped out this fact. However, it is great pity that scientists are still ignorant about the fact that how metformin treated diabetics develop B12 deficiency. Most of the prescription drugs results in the depletion of some nutrients from our body. That is the reason why most of the patients who take prescription drugs mostly suffer from nutritional deficiencies. The major cause of worry of these scientists is that they have come to know that deficiency of B12 may lead to mental decline, nervous system disorders in the diabetics.
