One-Third of Diabetes Risk to be curtailed with new hypertension pills!

According to researchers, a new kind of blood pressure drug given to the patient cuts down the risk of diabetes up to one-third as compared to the older pills. A trial conducted on 19,000 persons proved the new pills beneficial in curtailing heart strokes and heart attacks. The clinical trial indicated the shortcomings of beta blockers for treating high blood pressure. The standard therapy uses beta blockers over a number of years, given with diuretics tends to be cheap. Even though cheap, but not proved to be effective for too long as treatment with beta blockers creates blockage in the blood flow to muscles creating complications to metabolize glucose in the body as compared to the newer drugs. Thus, beta blockers can be the blamed as main fugitive, thereby opening a way for new drugs.
