A hypertension drug, ‘Rasilez’ or ‘SSP100′ may be helpful to treat hypertension in diabetes patients. The drug manufacturer, Novartis, has presented the study report and data at European Society of Hypertension meeting in Madrid. The report showed the potential of Rasilez in diabetic hypertensives that causes cardiovascular problems. SPP100 or Rasilez works for extra blood pressure control in the body. It is a first-in-class once daily oral renin inhibitor. The FDA has got the review proposal for the drug. The drug will be used in the treatment for hypertension as monotherapy as well as in accordance with other anti-hypertensives.
