After conducting research on African frog, Scottish scientists have developed stem cell treatments for diabetes. Under this treatment, a key protein to be found that converts the embryonic stem cells to develop into the insulin-producing pancreatic cells responsible for breakdown in diabetes patients. African frog contained a protein called Wnt that form cells in embryo that are the antecedent of the pancreas and liver, same way can function in mouse embryos. This stem cell treatment can lead to the development of far new therapies, using insulin-producing cells to treat diabetes patients. I appreciate this outstanding research conducted by the Scottish scientists paving the way for future therapies for the treatment of diabetes.
