National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) data says that diabetics have got better management of the disease during last five years. The survey performed on 14 million blood tests of hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) from 2001 to 2005 on diabetic people. But at the same time blood tests show clearly that nearly half of the diabetic people still haven’t touch the target set by American Diabetes Association (ADA). However it sounds better at the time when diabetes is growing at an alarming rate. The HbA1c test is a key indicator to show how well a person is managing and controlling his diabetes. It measures the amount of sugar in hemoglobin and specifies the average blood sugar level during last three months.
