Here is a warning for those who irrationally use growth hormones to boost their athletic performance. Actually, in a study it has been found that irrational use of such growth hormones may turn a person more susceptible to diabetes. This fact was hurled through a study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine. Interestingly, this study gives reference of a 36-year-old bodybuilder who required emergency care for chest pain to make their finding more conclusive. This bodybuilder admitted that he had been using artificial growth hormone and anabolic steroids for 15 years and when tests were conducted on him then it was found that his liver was inflamed, kidneys were enlarged and sugar level in his blood was also higher than normal level. Moreover, he was found dehydrated and diagnosed with diabetes. No doubt, growth hormones are also used sometimes to fight physical debility and to fight aging. However, recent studies have shown that using growth hormone can’t help turning back body clock. In addition, side effects of such growth hormones have also been naked time and again by studies.
