Zyprexa is an antipsychotic drug, which is given to the patients of schizophrenia, bipolar mania and other mental conditions. Penelope Rogers, a woman of Kanawha County filed a lawsuit against Zyprexa makers Eli Lilly and Company on June 29. She has made a complain that Zyprexa caused her injuries and damages including, the onset of diabetes mellitus, pain and suffering, mental anguish and economic loss too. She said further that advertisements inspired her that Zyprexa is safe. There was a 1998 medical data is available that had linked Zyprexa with causing diabetes. She seeks reparation and penalizing damages, injunctive relief, court costs, attorney fees, pre- and post-judgment interest and other relief.
